This year we not only got one, but we got three courtroom films. Here I am reviewing all three. The Burial, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, and Anatomy of a Fall.

The Killer is based on the French comic book series of the same name. The film follows Michael Fassbender as “The Killer” he is a paid assassin who is very good at his job. Except he has a slip-up which has rippling consequences.

Killers of the Flower Moon tells the true and relatively unknown story of the Osage Indians who were pushed out of Kansas and forced to relocate to Oklahoma. On their new land barren land in Oklahoma, they discovered oil and became some of the richest people in the United States. Then systematically Osage are murdered in a scheme to gain the “head rights” to the oil fortune.

Margot Bentley is a cold case investigator. She learned about the murder of the Carmichael family at their manor. As well as the paranormal happenings that have been reported there.

So Margot wants to make a documentary to figure out what happened. So Margot, her girlfriend Rebecca, and her brother Chase stay at the manor for a week and record their findings.

David Gordon Green is back to piss all over another Horror classic.

John Kramer hears about an experimental treatment by a European doctor who can treat even the most serious of cancer patients. So, he heads to Mexico to have the procedure done but finds out they never performed surgery.

One man, Keith Gill (Played by Paul Dano), believes GameStop’s stock is undervalued. As he streams about why he is buying up GameStop stock, large hedge funds were shorting the stock betting it would fail.

Bottoms is Emma Seligman’s sophomore effort after her first film Shiva Baby in 2020. A panic-inducing comedy film starring Rachel Sennott in a breakout role. Sennott is back with Emma this time co-writing Bottoms.

A group of kids has figured out how to summon spirits with an embalmed hand, of course, things go awry. Anyone that has ever watched a horror film before could tell these kids this was a bad idea.

Barbie has an existential crisis and has to travel to the real world to connect with the girl who is playing with her to fix what is wrong so Barbie can start having the perfect life again.

It tells of a snapshot in Oppenheimer’s life when he helped/led the development of the atomic bomb. We see snippets before this and before the war and a time after, but the main focus is the A-Bomb.

Ethan Hunt and his team are back again! Once again on the run as the America Government is chasing his team believing he is a danger to his country and the rest of the world.

Past Lives is the auto-biographical or at least semi-auto-biographical story of the writer/director Celine Song.
