Review of Belton Cinema 8 Theater

Location: Belton, MO

Date of Visit: December 21, 2024

Movie Seen: Mufasa: The Lion King

Price: $21.94 for one person

One ticket for a Sunday early afternoon showing was $7.94.

A large popcorn and soda was $14.

Cleanliness: On the outward appearance, it looks like a sketchy rundown theater. However, on the inside, it's completely renovated. This time in an 80s style with neon lights illuminating the lobby. It's a small eight-theater theater. Small lobby in the front and a long single hallway holding all eight theaters.

The theater is clean with a pleasant smell. The bathrooms are also clean.

Comfy-Ness: Seats are non-reclining but updated like Screenlands seats. So they are comfortable. The small popcorn fits into the drink holders, so I didn’t have to hold it the entire movie.

Food Quality: Popcorn was fresh and tasty. They don't have Freestyle Coca-Cola machines but they do have Pepsi. Which is a rarity and as someone who prefers Diet Pepsi/Pepsi Zero to Coke’s diet alternatives, I was pleased. The soda also tasted fantastic.

Overall 16.5/20.

It’s a well-kept theater with a cool style. My only quibble would be one bathroom for the whole theater, that I could tell, and eight theaters don’t give a lot of options for patrons. Especially since this is not like Glenwood who shows auteur films. Nevertheless, it is a cool little theater.
