Review of B&B Shawnee 18 Theater

Movie Seen: Venom: The Last Dance

Price: $64.70 for two people

Two tickets for a Sunday Morning Showing in the B&B’s MX4D Theater is $44.70 for two people. MX4D is a sensory experience, it’s like an amusement park ride. Your seat moves, pokes, and presses on you, releases smells, and will even mist you with water. Hints the 4D,  fourth dimension.

A large popcorn and soda combo at all B&B theaters is $20.

Cleanliness: The theater was clean. It had a vintage feel and smell, like Glenwood. Not rundown but a well-kept older theater. What is cool is they have a live theater with a stage. Talk about vintage!

Comfy-Ness: Those MX4D seats are not comfortable, but you don't notice them when they begin moving around. It’s kind of a fun experience, especially if you see a film that would be enhanced from this or one you don’t need full attention to, like a Venom film.

However, when they're stationary the seats are not comfy. To be a fair judge, I snuck into a normal theater before our showing and found the seats were consistent with all other B&Bs. large, spacious, reclining, and heat option.

Dark look at MX4D.

Food Quality: The popcorn was fresh, just not the most flavorful. Just like all other B&Bs they have the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines. The syrup was good at this B&B location at least.

Overall 13.5/20.

A pretty good theater that is just too far for me to ever visit again. Food was ok. But the look is great! I don’t think I’d do the MX4D again.
